What an unforgettable experience I had at the pre-launch event of the Farmer Copley's Tulip Festival! From the moment Willow (my corgi) and I arrived, we were welcomed into a world bursting with colour and life. The vibrant afternoon really boosted my mental wellbeing, allowing me to escape from the busy everyday.
Plus, I caught up with the people who make it happen to find out how they have made this £120,000 diversification investment a success.

A Journey into Tulip Diversification
Farmer Copley's is adding more to it's seasonal calendar with their latest addition. Now in its second year, the Tulip event draws on the rich traditions of tulip cultivation in both America and Holland, crafting an experience that has quickly become a beloved local attraction. With attendance growing to thousands daily, it is evident that the festival has blossomed into a cherished community event.
The fields are home to over 65 different tulip varieties, with half a million bulbs bursting into bloom. This sheer volume transforms the landscape into a breathtaking canvas of colours.

Meeting the Copley Team
During my visit, I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Heather Copley and Farm Manager Jack Walker. Learning more about how to grow tulips and the importance of connecting people to farming, I was able to record a podcast episode in the blissful sunshine.

Words of Wisdom from Rob Copley
Rob Copley shared powerful thoughts on how this festival impacts mental health, which left a lasting impression on me. He pointed out that bringing people into nature can create a sense of well-being. As I strolled through the colorful tulip fields, I couldn’t help but agree with this perspective.
